Dishwasher Not Cleaning

I'm working on a Jenn Air DW711W Dishwasher. The unit will fill, but as the wash cycle starts the drain also opens and the unit ends up with no wash water. Since the fill and drain cycles both function, I wrongly suspected a timer issue. Timer assembly replaced with factory part. Probem still persists? Any ideas

Hi Jack,

See if the drain solenoid is stuck down. If so replace the solenoid and if not let me know and we will go from there.
