AnswerHi Fred,
The first thing you need to do is check for clogs and make sure you are getting enough water. The water level should be about an inch or so in the bottom of the tub. The wash are could be clogged with food particles, which will cause it not to spin or spin slowly. If the wash arm isn’t clogged you will have to dig deeper into the pump to look for clogs.
If you don’t fine any clogs you will need to check the impeller. Sometimes the impellor will strip out and not turn with the motor and sometimes the motor will freeze and not turn at all. If the motor is stuck you may be able to free it up by turning the impeller by hand however this may be a temporary repair. I hope this helps!
Thank you,
