drain solenoid replace 3 times

I have a portable GE dishwasher with model number GSC3404G00WW. I have replaced the drain solenoid 3 times in the last year. Nothing else seems to be wrong with the machine. What is it making my solenoid fail all the time?

Hi Dana,

A bad timer can cause this. Sometimes the timer will hang (or turn slower than usual) during drain. This can put power to the solenoid too long and cause it to eventually fail. I suggest replacing the solenoid and the timer.
