dryer not heating

Since you hear a click then I assume the igniter and the heat sensor are working. This most likely means the coils on the gas valves are bad. If you can see the heater area with the dryer still together (some dryers have access panels) you can tell for sure. If the igniter glows then you hear the click and the igniter goes out but the flame doesn’t light then the coils on the valve are bad. This page will help more
